some sunny day

One of my favorite things to do is shopping alone. Call me a loner if you must but to me there is nothing better than going to your favorite thrift store and spending hours sifting through almost every single piece of garment without having to conform to companies' schedules. Having been bored out of my mind after the exams, I decided to put on my most hipster looking outfit and indulge myself with some care-free clothing hunt at my favorite nearby second-hand store.

This floral dress is truly a gem and it is also my favorite find. I especially love the thick straps and the sweetheart neckline. It will be perfect for those hot, hot days in the summer.

At first glance, this may seem like a denim jacket to you. And believe me, my mind was totally blown when I touched it and found out that it is just a shirt. I think that is perhaps the biggest reason why I love this mock-denim shirt so much. Because it is an optical illusion!

Life is a Beach

My mysterious sickness is finally subsiding and we celebrate my survival with a picnic at the beach. It was a gloriously mild day and I wanted to commemorate my outfit differently. So, instead of utilizing the usual door-knob as a tripod, I got Daniel to act as my photographer.

I'm not even sure if this is suppose to be a dress or a t-shirt. It has a weird elastic band take-in at the bottom which gives it a dress shape but the top was way too big and frumpy to be a dress (seriously, before I cut the sleeves off, they were past my elbows). Regardless, when I first laid eyes on it at my local thrift store, I knew I had to have it because the tie-dye was calling out my name. After the awesome day at the beach, I am looking forward to summer more than ever!

Delirious as fuck

Today marks the official end of my semester for I have completed my last (and only) exam. Right now I feel totally liberated and once again reconnected with the rest of civilization. To commemorate this momentous occasion, I decided to stay true to my love for the 90's by combining acid wash with a miniskirt. And this is how it turned out.

I got this wicked acid wash hoodie from Ebay. It's second-hand, crazy comfortable and awesomely grunge. In other words, deliciously perfect!

Politics

I'm taking a break from composing the slides for my power point presentation tomorrow on women and federal politics to show you what I wore to the Spike n Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation Festival. This is my favorite American Apparel shirt. So comfortable and wickedly racy-lacy.

I just had to add a few "grunge" essentials to the outfit.
